in Europe on Member State level
-
Quantitative results on the costs and benefits of future policy options
based on the techno-economic model Green-X
-
Detailed
definition of best practice criteria for renewable electricity support
schemes and barriers for mitigation
-
Recommendations and action plan on optimisation of RES-E policy measures
to support policy makers on European and national level
-
Comparison
of selected case studies on RES-E grid integration and derivation of best
practise criteria under different constraints
-

THEMATIC WORKSHOP - Renewable energies in the EU up to
2020
Current markets, future scenarios and the role of project developers and
investors
London
European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
175 Bishopsgate; London EC2A 2JN; United Kingdom
A workshop about
"Renewable energies in the EU up to 2020 - current markets,
future scenarios and the role of project developers and
investors" was organised by the OPTRES-consortium on 12
October 2006 in London.
The main objective of the workshop was the identification of crucial issues,
chances and risks of renewable energy evolution in the context of current
European policy for renewable energy. Key success factors, risks and
barriers to renewable energy development were pointed out and presented by
investors, project developers, policy makers and scientists.
During a one day workshop the following
issues were discussed:
-
Quantitative characterisation of present
markets and future developments up to 2020
-
Identification of most promising
technologies and countries
-
Current experiences and future options for
project developers and investors
-
Identification of key success factors,
risks and barriers for renewables development
